If you have a child at Shaker Heights Middle School, you are automatically a valued member of our PTO. There are no fees or dues, and we welcome your involvement throughout the year.

Register as a Volunteer
All volunteers for a school or PTO event, whether during school hours or after, are required to register as a volunteer with the district and complete a background and fingerprint check. This process is simple and fast. To register or learn more about the process please click here.

Our PTO is vital in organizing events for students, supporting our staff through grants, and keeping our parents involved. But to make all this happen WE NEED YOU! Many positions are low time commitment and are flexible. We welcome anyone who is interested in signing up, we’d love to hear your voice! SHMS PTO BUDGET
RESTAURANT NIGHTS
On Thursday, September 17 from 11 AM - 9:30 PM, support the SHMS PTO by dining at (or ordering take out from) Cilantro Taqueria (Van Aken location only). Simply enter "SHMS PTO" when ordering in-person or add "SHMS PTO" to the Order Notes when order online and Cilantro Taqueria will donate 20% of the order proceeds to SHMS PTO.
